About the Festival

Fun Sized is a curated, small-scale public art festival that reimagines overlooked architectural details, alleyways, storefront edges, and urban fragments as sites for artistic intervention. Fifteen miniature murals, site-responsive installations and mosaics will be embedded throughout downtown, encouraging curiosity, close looking, and playful exploration.

Visitors will navigate the festival through printed and digital maps designed as an interactive scavenger hunt. Each artwork will be accompanied by on-site signage and QR codes linking to expanded project narratives and artist information.

The opening weekend will coincide with the Northampton Jazz Festival to amplify audience engagement and cross-promotional opportunities. Programming will include artist-led tours, curator talks, and participatory maker activities.

Following the opening weekend, installations will remain on view as part of Northampton’s evolving public art landscape.

This project is supported by the Northampton Arts Council, A2Z Science and Learning Center, Thornes Marketplace, Downtown Northampton Association, Greater Northampton Chamber of Commerce, the City of Northampton, and additional community sponsors.
